Some good friends from Second Life (SL) encouraged me to join DA and I love it |
In SL I love to explore new things and fantasies that time and circumstance have not allowed me to experience as much as I would like. So you will see postings here of SL friends and adventures. I also, since this is DA, will post some of my attempts at traditional art -- scans of what I have done in the past and recent efforts reflecting my new interests.
Finally, I hope to combine some of traditioanl art interests,SL, and new digital drawing technology and see what I can learn and share.
Most important, I want to have fun and share my interests with new friends
Feel free to contact me here or in SL and share your thoughts, impressions, and views.

Just a short note to let you know what’s happening in the world of “Donna’s Art” as the summer comes to a close.
First let me say thanks to all of you who watch, fave, comment, and just visit. The only reason this DA page exists is you. If you didn’t stop by I seriously doubt that this page would be here after a month. So, thanks, because I get more out making this page than you do visiting it, and your visits are what keep me motivated.
As usual, RL is taking up a lot of my time. My work is entering the end of the fiscal year and so everything that hasn't been done must be done in the next few weeks – so it’s busy. This of course affects how much time I have to do Art. That means less art and the art that I do is less detailed. Time is my most precious commodity and I just don’t have enough! I suppose since I love everything I spend my time on (with the sometimes exception of work ) that’s a good thing!
One of the consequences of my lack of time is that I’m doing a lot more SL art lately than I have in the past. SL art can be done in just a couple of hours vice 10-20 hours for a 3D piece (including rendering time). SL also allows me to do art and to interact with my SL friends at the same time –so it’s a social activity as well as art. And, since I LOVE my SL friends, that’s a really positive benefit! Another reason I'm doing more SL work is that it is much cheaper to do than the same scene in 3D by a factor of about 10x. I must admit, too, that I really enjoy playing iwth SL snaps, and I think, making progress improving the artistic quality of the SL art. So for a lot of reasons, lately there's more SL art than 3D.
Several things are slowling down my 3D efforts. Part of it is learning new Daz, Reality and Lux versions and also I still have big inventory issues downloading lost files from Daz and Renderocity. Those will fix themselves over time and as I have more RL time 3D output will pick up. I have some new things I want to try with 3d and lots of new models…. I just need the time! If you have extra, send it my way!
Finally, to try to be more fun for you, my visitors, I’ve added a poll here that I will keep up for about 3 weeks asking you what are your favorite aspects of my page? Once I have these results I will add another poll to get an idea of specific theme favorites. Please take a few seconds to fill it out!
Okay, that’s about all from here. Again, thanks for supporting my DA page!
Love ya all!
Unfortunately DA and SL are not my full time jobs! If only they were!! Most of my RL time is spent working in a professional job, writing for publication, and running a small horse farm in the American west. Usually between 10pm and 6am I fit in DA and SL. This is the main reason, despite being flattered when asked, I can't do commissions or requests. I just don't have the time.
Thank you who have asked for understanding.
|The webcam has been deactivated by DA but I still want to display some of the best art of Etherea S, my SL girlfriend. Visit her at and review her gallery for some of the best and most erotic of SL based art.|
Etherea is a very talented writer --make sure you look for the short stories that she attaches to many of her great picts!
