|My "Vice" graphic novella is now complete! Its been over a year in writing and rendering. Go to my gallery and look for the "Vice" folder and read the more than 30k words and check out the more than twenty-five renders! |
I hope you enjoy!
|Updated Top Ten. Some interesting changes. The top four renders remain the same with no changes. I will note that No. 1, Shiniez Fanart, has increased from 432 to 583 in the last four months or so. |
The Workshop has moved up to No. 5 from like No. 10. The only significant move within the group.
The BIG change is the addition of Blue Vixen, Part 1c, showing up now at No. 8. It knocked out "Yes" from the top ten. I was sad to see that render go because I really liked the little back story.
Remember that the top are picked solely based on the history of "faves" associated with each render. Please vote by faving if you see something you like!!
1. Shiniez Fanart --Loving Couple (583)
2. Pensive (443)
3. Pet (298)
4. Simmering (290)
5. The Workshop (273)
6. Chained Steel (256)
7. Warrior Captured (255)
8. Blue Vixen, Part 1c (255)
9. 20k Cheese Cake (250)

Remember rank is determined by your fav's so please fav what you like best!
Looking back over the recent renders it occurs to me that my DA page is probably different from most because of the diversity in my subjects. I mean, how many other pages feature sweat sentimental friendship, patriotism, adventure, science fiction, kinky eroticism, westerns, military, and political themes --sometimes all in one piece of art?? (I exaggerate slightly perhaps but you get my point) So I thought I would take a few sentences and explain how I choose my subjects.
First. My choices are completely random. There is no master plan or schedule.
I do plan the stories (like Vice) that I start. The long complex ones are completely story boarded and outlined before I do the first render. But, I don't plan exactly what will be rendered in support of the written parts.
The only other "plan like" thing I do is I do have a list in my sketch book of good ideas –but there is no plan for when or if I will actually do them. Only sometimes do I look at that list for inspiration. Mostly not though.
The thing that influences my choices the most is probably my mood –and I have a lot of them! Sometimes I feel sexy, sometimes I feel like storytelling, sometimes I want to render real life, sometime a wild fantasy and sometimes a good friend or someone or something I admire.
I know I do a lot of erotic and sensual themed renders – see the above paragraph! Why are there not more (any?) men in my renders? Mostly because for a good bit of time now I haven’t had men in my life in that way. That’s not a rule –but it is the current state of affairs. I think that’s enough said about that!
Most holidays the holiday is on my mind and that’s why I often do the render for the appropriate holiday. That’s not a hard rule. I don’t get excited about labor day so don’t expect a labor day render!
Time is another influence on renders. I have a very busy schedule. Usually that means my renders are relatively simple scenes that I can do in one 2-3 hour sitting. I let them cook in Reality-Lux for 6-10 hours. I then do an hour of post work and then upload them. That’s typically how I work. Renders with long written stories or complex scenes take much longer and so I don’t do as many or as often.
What’s in my inventory is also an important influence on what I choose to render. If I get a cute new character or a hot new outfit there’s a good chance that that will be featured soon in a render.
Cost is another factor. Sad to say I guess. I love the freebie stuff and if its good quality it is likely to fit in my renders. Most of the military stuff I do is because I can get lots of free military stuff! Most of the erotic stuff is not free! I also watch the sales at daz and renderocity as well. Those of you who follow the sales will see a definite link to my work!
The last thought on this subject. I get some really good ideas from the people who comment, like, and fave what I post. I don’t do commissions or requests (no time and too much else to do) but I am not above stealing a great idea! There is a difference!
So… there’s some thoughts on that subject. Maybe it partly answers the frequent question: “What the h_ll is that crazy woman doing now??!”
Hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks again for all your comments, faves and watching!
All the best,
